Join us for the latest in our series of guided walks that celebrate the beauty of South Devon’s coastal landscape.
On this walk, we’ll head down through Charleton Marsh and its wetland habitat before arriving at the Kingsbridge-Salcombe Estuary foreshore. We’ll then follow Frogmore Creek before turning back inland to loop back via East Charleton and Geese Quarries. This walk will be guided by our Estuaries Officer who will help you discover that this is no ordinary estuary!
The walk will be around 4.6 miles and explores some fabulous views across the Salcombe-Kingsbridge Estuary and involves a few short sections of seaweed-covered shores that can be slippery. Uneven underfoot throughout.
Please bring a bottle of water, a snack (or picnic lunch if you like), good footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
We are providing minibus pick-ups for people who don’t have their own transport. Pick-up at Follaton Arboretum, Totnes (by wooden sign) is at 09:40, or pick-up at Quay carpark, Kingsbridge (Information Centre end) is at 10:15. Booking essential.
